PTI lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat was caught on video involved in an altercation outside a court in Islamabad. The video shows Marwat and his assistant confronting a man, while a police officer attempts to intervene.
In a subsequent statement shared on social media, Marwat claimed that a motorcyclist had been pursuing him as he headed to the Islamabad High Court. He mentioned that his junior lawyer advised against engaging with the individual but acknowledged that he reacted poorly.
Marwat further stated that the man continued to follow him even as he left for the Supreme Court, and upon stopping in front of the court’s entrance, the situation escalated with the man verbally abusing them. Marwat alleged that the police officers’ attempts to defuse the situation were unsuccessful, and he and his junior lawyer were physically attacked, with the incident being recorded.
